For breathing experiments, half the bottle is decanted 3–6 hours before, using a Coravin. Each subject receives 3 glasses in one of 6 possible configurations:

The configuration is chosen at random by another person rolling a die and pouring out in another room. Subjects choose the odd one out and, if they wish, identify it as bottle or decanter.
